Handley Page Victor MK2 by Emigepa Handley Page Victor MK2 by Emigepa
The Handley Page Victor was a British jet bomber aircraft produced by the Handley Page Aircraft Company during the Cold War. It was the third and final of the V-bombers that provided Britain's nuclear deterrent. The other two V-bombers were the Avro Vulcan and the Vickers Valiant. Some aircraft were modified for strategic reconnaissance role using both cameras and radar. After the Royal Navy assumed the nuclear deterrence mission using submarine-launched Polaris missiles in 1969 many surviving bombers were converted into aerial refuelling tankers. The last Victor was retired from service on 15 October 1993.(Wikipedia)
BLENDER 3D model.

The Victor had a "crescent" wing, the wing was sweptback sharply at fuselage the middle section was swept less and the outboard section had the least sweep. Original design did not have a vertical stabilizer. Beautiful aircraft, much better looking than the Vulcan.

Amazing. This aricraft and the Vulcan had always been amongst my favourites, especially since I've heard about the epic Black Buck missions. :)

The Vulcan theme music! [link]

Played by one crew member after the almost tragic end of the first Black Buck mission. :)

really good!! someone (John Millus?) described the Victor as 'looking like something out of Jules Verne', maybe because of all those extravagant curves.

Yes, the airplane designs quite reminiscent of Jules Verne! Thanks for the comment!
